Sometimes, well most times life is stranger than fiction.
Welcome to Wilmington NC folks. A place where you can drive to the beach every single day if you want.
We have a beautiful downtown and riverwalk. We have micro-breweries opening every month. (Look out Asheville). We have historic districts and holmes. We have plenty of outdoor parks and recreation.
We've got hockey, yeah that's right, hockey at the beach. We've got every sport you can imagine plus surfing, fishing and hunting. There is so much to see and do here.
And then there is this guy. You can't make this up.
The following is taken from the article from WECT News.
By Kendall McGee | March 4, 2020 at 9:52 PM EST - Updated March 5 at 3:02 PMWILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - An 18-year-old man is accused of leading multiple agencies on a unique pursuit through the Wilmington area Wednesday night.
Wilmington police say the driver was operating a skid-steer loader “erratically” and that’s when the sheriff’s office began to pursue him. WPD became involved when the driver crossed into city limits.
The chase went up Military Cutoff Road, to Gordon, to College, to Lennon, to Market and over to Cardinal before deputies subdued the suspect near the Inland Greens subdivision.

What's this got to do with self defense or krav maga? Not much really except that you can never really know what other people are going to do. That said, the only variable you control is yourself. Stay safe out there and beware the Bobcat Bandit.
Self defense implies you are worth defending. Let that sink in.
Every year, every month we hear or see some news story or report about violence against women. It pains me as a father of a 20 year old daughter. I (we) can't stop all the violence in the world. It is naive to think that way. However what we can do is educate and teach all who wish to learn how to defend themselves. We can be the good guys and gals.
Our W.omen E.mpowered seminar is coming up on July 27 at 1-3pm. We host these seminars at least three times during the year because we want to be a resource for our community and because we want to give everyone the tools to defend themselves.
Our goal: Go home safe. Whatever, however that looks.
